The Archenhold Observatory is the oldest and largest public observatory in Germany. Since 1896, you can observe the sky here - in the middle of Treptower Park - with the longest movable refracting telescope in the world. In addition to the "Great Refractor", the attractions of the house include the historic Einstein Hall, the Zeiss Small Planetarium and a museum of celestial science.

The Archenhold Observatory is the oldest and largest public observatory in Germany. It has modern telescopes, a Zeiss small planetarium and the world's longest movable lens telescope with a focal length of 21 metres. Exhibitions in the Museum of Astronomy show the dimensions of the universe, the solar system and the historical development of astronomy. The artificial sky shines at all times regardless of visibility and weather conditions.

The guided tour through the observatory was very interesting and a view through the telescope to the moon was the highlight.
